We are Harry and Roelie Morskate, a married couple with a real cyclist's heart. Long-distance cycling only started in 2012 when, to our own surprise, we left Harry's supermarket bicycle and Roelie's student bicycle in a bicycle shop and left the shop with two expensive touring bicycles. We thought it would be a shame to let it stand still too much and went on a cycling holiday for the first time in the same year. In the years that followed, we made wonderful cycling trips through Germany, Austria, Italy, France and Spain.

In 2017, we started the real work and decided to cycle the Great Divide Mountain Bike Route (GDMBR), the Continental Divide over the highest peaks of the Rocky Mountains from the Mexican border through the USA to Jasper, Canada. We took a 3 month sabbatical and first got into the addictive rhythm of "eat-sleep-ride..., the Great Divide". Extremely happy we returned to the Netherlands. That tasted like more.

In 2018 we started with a cycling trip around the world, for which we had allocated 3 years. We had quit our jobs and sold everything, absolutely everything. We cycled from the Netherlands to New Zealand and then we wanted to go from Ushuaia to Alaska, the second part of our route. However, in March 2020, in Chos Malal, a village north of Patagonia in Argentina, the trip was abruptly cut short due to the Corona virus. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, gained a wealth of experiences, had many heart-warming encounters and had unlimited fun. We don't want to keep this to ourselves, but share it with everyone. Hence this website and we can be followed on Facebook and Instagram.

Of course we didn't stop with beautiful cycling trips, although we had to look a little closer to home due to Corona. We are now looking for adventure on "roads-less-travelled": unpaved trails and gravel paths. In addition to our trusted titanium trekking bikes, we have therefore bought two steel bikes for the rougher work. We have shifted a bit from the "standard" long distance cycling, to the more tough bikepacking on unpaved paths. For example, we have visited many previously visited but also new countries, which are within "cycling range" in Europe. The counter of countries crossed will be 44 in 2023, while we still have to pick up the thread of our aborted bicycle tour around the world.

"And when are you going to pick up that thread again?", has been a frequently asked question to us since March 2020. We can now answer:

At the end of 2023 we will go to Argentina again to finish some unfinished business!!!
