We sell our house and leave everything behind for a tent. Not just a tent, but a good one: strong and ultra light, including a matching lightweight ground sheet. For example a tent from Nigor or MSR.
Award us every now and then a warm shower and a bed and give us an overnight stay as a gift. Whether it is a hostel or a 5 star hotel depends on the amount of sponsorship (and where we are). By the way, of course we are member of Warmshowers ;)
